Dezeen has revealed their shortlist for their inaugural Dezeen Awards, and two Heatherwick Studio projects have been nominated.
Friction, an expanding table that changes its proportions to adapt to different spaces and functions, has been nominated in the ‘Furniture Design’ category. Zeitz MOCAA, a new museum in South Africa, is shortlisted in the ‘Civic and Cultural building’ category.
The shortlist was selected by a panel of leading industry figures based on how beautiful, innovative and beneficial each project is to people and the planet. The winners will be announced on 27 November.
