The studio’s latest project opening, Coal Drops Yard, features on the cover of this month’s edition of Blueprint.
Inside the magazine features an interview with Thomas as part of their ongoing series on the theme of collaboration. He describes how the design process comes alive and projects get stronger when working with others – citing discussions with planners at Camden Council about Coal Drops Yard, and the studio’s work with Foster + Partners on Bund Finance Center, amongst other examples.
The magazine also highlights our two wins at this year’s Blueprint Awards. The studio was awarded Best Product Design for Friction, an expanding table that changes its form through precision engineering. Commenting on Zeitz MOCAA’s win as Best Public-use Project with Private Funding, judge Ole Scheeren said: “this brave and unique project connects art and architecture through a magical and exciting experience”.
Blueprint issue 361 is available in stores now. You can watch the video interview with Thomas about collaboration below.
